After a chaotically charming train ride to Esslingen we caught our train to the actual destination, Munich. Once we arrived at our stop, got off the train and traveled a good mile to our hotel, we got ready to go out. On this day’s agenda we only had one thing left to do, and that was to find a table that fit all of us at the Augustiner Biergarten. After scoring ourselves a dinner table and eating what seemed to be the best food all around, we made our way into the heart of the city. Of course the first thing we did was to rake out the city sights, city hall, the headquarters of the TV channel “Das Erste” and the most famoussight, the milkshakes at Five guys 😊. I’m getting of topic here, oops! We made our way back to the hotel around 9.45 and finished our day with movies, basketball games and several snacks in bed. Bright and early at 8.30 we had breakfast and then tried to make our way to the Pinakothek der Moderne via train, but we of course did not catch the right one the first time. As soon as we all gathered in the museum and took our pictures we explored these halls. Whether it was old pieces by Picasso, futuristic and Bauhaus furniture or simply something that can only be described as abstract we enjoyed it all. Following our stay at the museum, we headed into the city again, after immediate shopping, lunch at the market and even more window shopping we slowly but surely made our way back to the train station. The 2023 trip to Munich was a highlight we got to experience as a class and a group of friends, its safe to say all of us will treasure this trip for years to come!
